Abstract

A partir de una indagación en determinadas características de los actuales movimientos sociales, el artículo presenta un análisis de las posibles consecuencias negativas de un cierto "determinismo comunicacionista" en sus prácticas y estructuras, y ofrece una perspectiva que permita trascender estas posiciones, y lograr una armónica inserción de las dimensión comunicativa en procesos de cambio social.Beginning from an analysis of some characteristics of social movements, this article aims to analyze the possible negative consequences of certain "communication determinism" on social movements' actions and structures. It also aims to present a point of view that would allow avoiding these positions, and then to consider communication in relation with all the other dimensions of the social change processes.
