Abstract
En base a los datos de 160 Organizaciones No Gubernamentales de Bolivia, el autor realiza un análisis pormenorizado de la evolución y dimensión económica de estas entidades privadas y no lucrativas, contrastándolas con el contexto político, económico y social desde los años 1980 y con las teorías desarrolladas al respecto tanto en Bolivia como a nivel internacional.
Drawing on data from 160 Non-Governmental Organisations in Bolivia, the author makes a detailed analysis of the evolution and financial characteristics of these private, non-profit entities, against the background of the political, economic and social context since the 1980s and making a comparison with the theories developed about NGOs, both in Bolivia and internationally.
