Vita Christi: el escrito aymara más completo del periodo colonial
Abstract
El artículo considera que la obra Vita Christi es el cuerpo textual Aymara más vasto y rico de todos los de Bertonio, e incluso de todos los de la época colonial andina. El autor señala que este documento, inicialmente pensado sólo como una traducción del Flos sanctorum de Alonso de Villegas, se convirtió en manos de Bertonio en un verdadero muestrario del "genio lingüístico de la lengua Aymara". Esto prueba el alto valor del texto para estudiar el Aymara antiguo, por lo que, recomienda el autor, es necesario reeditarlo.
This article considers Bertonio´s work Vita Christi as the most extensive and rich Aymara text among all works of this author, and even among all those texts written in the colonial Andes. The author points out that this text, at first intended just as a kind of translation of Alonso de Villegas Flos sanctorum, became a wide mainspring of "the linguistic genius of the Aymara language". So to assert that this is a first line linguistic document for the study of old Aymara language that urges a new edition.
