Abstract
The goal of this research is to describe the motivational profile and attitude towards learning the Aymara language, understood from the model socio-educational of Gardner. Knowing this profile is essential in this time of implementation of native languages in the Bolivian education system as it allows knowing about the social dynamics between the linguistic communities and motivational orientations of students assessing whether they are in favor of multiculturalism and meaningful learning. This descriptive research was conducted to 173 third grade students in private schools in the city of La Paz, to which we applied the instrument "MOTIV-LANGUAGE ACT." The research results show a level of motivation and integrative motivation in a quarter of the total study population, a median level of motivations grade; attitudes toward teaching and learning factors positive and less positive attitudes toward the social factors involved in learning of the Aymara language.
