Cuando los héroes fracasan. De la teleserie policial a las Narcoseries
Abstract
La creciente desconfianza en las instituciones gubernamentales latinoamericanas, aunada a la corrupción política y los fuertes vínculos de los estados con el narcotráfico, han provocado un cambio en la literatura y en la televisión. El género policial ha dado paso en Latinoamérica al llamado neopolicial, así como actualmente, las teleseries policiales se han convertido en narcoseries. Ambos productos culturales dan cuenta de una sociedad en decadencia, donde ya no existen héroes ni villanos sino ciudadanos que luchan por sobrevivir en un mundo adverso.
The increasing distrust in Latin American government institutions, coupled with the political corruption and the strong bonds of States with drug trafficking, have caused a change in the literature and on television. The detective genre in Latin America has given way to the call neopolicial, as well as, currently; police TV series have become narcoseries. Both cultural products account for a society in decline, where there are no heroes or villains but citizens struggling to survive in a hostile world.
