Desarrollo de habilidades matemáticas en estudiantes adolescentes

Abstract
El aprendizaje de las matemáticas precisa que el estudiante posea ciertas habilidades básicas; estas tienen que ver con procesos mentales que le permitirán lograr un correcto desarrollo del sentido numérico. Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar los aspectos que intervienen en el desarrollo de habilidades matemáticas en estudiantes adolescentes. Se utilizó la revisión sistémica y el proceso de búsqueda se apoyó en la metodología PRISMA. Las bases de datos consultadas fueron Scopus, SciELO y Sciencia Direct; estableciéndose criterios de inclusión y exclusión para la selección de los artículos. Fueron escogidos 16 documentos los cuales cumplieron los criterios señalados. Los resultados evidencian que, las principales dificultades que enfrentan los adolescentes para desarrollar habilidades matemáticas se relacionan con el acceso a recursos digitales; la salud mental y habilidades cognitiva; y el entorno familiar-social. Se concluye que los diferentes aspectos que pueden dificultar dicho proceso deben abordarse con la comprensión y apoyo de docentes y padres.
The learning of mathematics requires that the student possesses certain basic skills; these have to do with mental processes that will allow him/her to achieve a correct development of the numerical sense. The objective of this study is to analyze the aspects involved in the development of mathematical skills in adolescent students. Systemic review was used and the search process was supported by the PRISMA methodology. The databases consulted were Scopus, SciELO and Sciencia Direct; inclusion and exclusion criteria were established for the selection of articles. Sixteen documents were selected which met the criteria indicated. The results show that the main difficulties faced by adolescents in developing mathematical skills are related to access to digital resources; mental health and cognitive skills; and the family-social environment. It is concluded that the different aspects that may hinder this process should be addressed with the understanding and support of teachers and parents.
