The cleft lip and palate is a congenital malformation that compromises the facial processes that form the soft and hard palate, upper lip and in extreme cases compromises the uvula and the nasolacrimal duct. The incidence of births has increased worldwide, leading to studies being carried out in relation to genetic factors, diet or the environment where the mother is in the development of the embryo, in order to define possible vectors, although it is declared multifactorial. The Ayninakuna Foundation is a organization that provides everything from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation to children and adolescents, where an analysis of the cases registered in the foundation in the department of Cochabamba-Bolivia is carried out, to add data collected on the incidence in births from the different departments and associated factors, seeking to highlight this great demand and make it possible to include parameters related to malformation in birth records.
