Abstract
Estudiamos la dieta del zorro andino (Pseudalopex culpaeus) analizando 35 heces colectadas en el mes de mayo de 1994 en las cercanías del cantón Lámbate, Provincia Sud Yungas del Departamento de La Paz. Como resultado obtuvimos que la dieta de estos zorros está basada en roedores pequeños con tres cuartas partes (75,2%) del total de presas y como componentes secundarios se encontró restos de aves y ganado equino.
The diet of the culpeo fox was studied through the analysis of 35 feces samples collected in May, 1994 near Cantón Lámbate, in the Sud Yungas Province of La Paz Departament. Results showed that the diet of these foxes is based rodents, accounting for 75,2 % parts of the total prey. Secondary prey items included birds and donkey.
