Alteraciones del color en 5 resinas compuestas para el sector posterior pulidas y expuestas a diferentes bebidas

Abstract

Introduction: Since there are lots of brand names and colors of composite resins, the professional is in constant search ofresins with improved properties, to avoid discoloration to pigmentary agents that come into contact with them, such as redwine, Coca-Cola ® coffee. The need for restorative materials that simulate natural color similar to the tooth structure so as tobe an imperceptible restoration, makes imperative a study on the color alterations of posterior composite resins for TetricCeram HB® , Filtek™ P90 , Filtek™ Z350, Filtek™ Z250 and Brilliant™ NG . Objective: To determine the coloralterations of 5 for posterior composite resins subjected to polishing systems against pigmentary agents. Materials and Methods: This study was descriptive , was supported by an experimental design. Data were collected with an instrument designed for this research through the observation based on the Vita guide values. The scale results were analyzed using descriptive statistics with a method of multivariate analysis of variance and multiple comparison test. Results: coffee and red wine are the substances that cause more discoloration in the composite resins of this study. Coke ® beverage was the least pigmented agent against the resins, except for the Filtek™ Z250 composite resin and Filtek ™ P90 showed a greater resistance to discoloration. Conclusion: Most resins present in this study had discolored when submerged in beverages.
