Abstract
Educational equity has become a fundamental principle in contemporary school systems, aimed at ensuring that all students, regardless of their social, cultural, or cognitive conditions, have access to quality learning opportunities. Within this framework, curricular adaptations emerge as a key strategy to address diversity in classrooms and reduce inequality gaps. These adaptations, understood as planned adjustments in content, methodologies, timing, or assessments, enable responses to students’ individual needs and promote their active inclusion in educational processes. However, their implementation has not been uniform or fully effective, due to limitations in teacher training, resource availability, and the lack of clear guiding policies. Therefore, it is essential to analyse the curricular adaptation strategies that have proven effective in different contexts, with the aim of identifying and systematising successful practices that strengthen educational equity and guide future inclusive policies and pedagogical models. Systematic literature review, supported by bibliographic management tools and comparative matrices, shows that curricular flexibility, pedagogical differentiation, and personalised learning constitute effective strategies that adjust content, methods, and resources to students’ potential, ensuring equitable access, participation, and learning outcomes.
