Abstract

This article proposes a theoretical approach of the book of poems entitled Construcciones sobre basamentos de niebla (2006) by the Venezuelan writer Ana Enriqueta Teran (1918-2017). This work has been chosen to study its broad subjectivity that symbolizes chaotic causes and effects from the literary and physical perspective and from the form systems to the background structures. In this way the aim of this study is to explore the poems in order to identify the myths indications of water as natural element, a principle of the origins of the universe and of individuals through the categories of image and body. In addition, it intends to find the critical significance and value of these poems to also visualize the social, historical, cultural and lyric context.
