Abstract
El tema: "Comunicación y conflictos culturales en Bolivia" sugiere múltiples espacios de abordaje. Este artículo se consagra al tratamiento de un aspecto fundamental y oportuno a raíz de la crisis social que vivimos en Bolivia con la defenestración del gobierno de Gonzalo Sánchez de Lozada en octubre de 2003. Es decir, a la relación existente entre hegemonía, comunicación y cultura. De lo que se trata, es de plantear que la crisis de gobernabilidad que vive el Estado boliviano y la crisis de identidad que viven los bolivianos puede analizarse desde el ángulo de la comunicación y la cultura, y que este análisis, comunicacional y cultural, puede llenar los numerosos vacíos explicativos en que la ciencia política o la sociología boliviana han caído cuando se trata de analizar los sucesos de octubre de 2003 y la actual situación del país.
