Abstract
Navay Phosphatic sands have a low percent of P2O5 but U contents that could justified their explotation. The P2O5 distribution is very irregular and so is the U. The surface sands (till 10 m deep) have P2O5 low content but high on U. The two are concentrated in the grain sizes over 100 mesh (13.34% P2O5, 262 ppm U). The phosphatic mantle (10-20 m deep) has a higher content on P2O2 (12.6% average) but lower on U (16 ppm). The sulphuric leaching process of P2O5 from Phosphatic mantle was studied. The optimal results were used to leach the Uranium tractions. The kinetic study so as the equilibrium results are discussed.
