Item type: Item , Generalización de un algoritmo para la identificación de los subsistemas(1986) Giorgio TonellaThe paper points out the lack of realibility of one of the method used for the identification of subsystems through rows and columns permutations of the interaction matrix which represents the system. It also introduces some changes in the methods, which produce more reliable results, as the ones obtained by experiments realized with different models.Item type: Item , Raza de Bronce : Estructura, significación y sentido(Facultad de Humanidades y Ciencias de la Educación, 1986) Monasterios P, Elizabeth; Rosario, RodríguezaI. Plachco; G Oswaldo RomeroA mathematical model of the convective diffusion process has been studied theoretically and tested in the laboratory. The process takes place when the flow of an electrolytic fluid circulates through a cylindrical conductive capillary. A wide range of the applied electrical potential was used. The theoretical results allow the formulation of criteria for the operation and design of the cylindrical porous electrodes.Item type: Item , El azufre como material de construcción: Revisión del problema(1986) Adriana Inés Grassi de De Barcia; Sergio Miranda CasanovaAs the extraction of heavy crudes from Orinoco's Bituminous Belt advances, the national production of sulphur will continue to increase. The sulphur surplus will not be absorbed by the chemical industry nor will have place in the international markets. It is imperative to seek for new applications. Eventhoug pure sulphur's binding power is unstable, research studies have been undertaken in order to evaluate its potential as a construction material. The mechanical properties of sulphur are closely related to its allotropic forms and can be improved by using additives which stabilize monoclinic sulphur, unstable at ordinary temperatures, This paper discusses the properties of pure sulphur, the influence of additives, the properties of mortars made of sulphur-additives-filling materials, corrosion resistance, potential uses of these materials. It is of common interest not only to produce materials which can cope with the traditional ones, but also to develop materials highly resistant to acid salt corrosion to replace portland cement concrete.Item type: Item , Factores incidentes en el acabado superficial de piezas mecanizadas con limadora(1986) M B Luis SaracheIn this paper, an analysis has been done on the variables involved in the surface finish of a workpiece as produced by a shaper machine. The results of many experiments have been fitted into an equation which closely fredicts actual rugosity. This equation is quite different from that proposed by Boothryd.Item type: Item , Estudio preliminar de la extracción de uranio de las arenas fosfáticas de Navay, Estado Táchira(1986) Antonio Luis Cárdenas Rodulfo; G Julián SuárezNavay Phosphatic sands have a low percent of P2O5 but U contents that could justified their explotation. The P2O5 distribution is very irregular and so is the U. The surface sands (till 10 m deep) have P2O5 low content but high on U. The two are concentrated in the grain sizes over 100 mesh (13.34% P2O5, 262 ppm U). The phosphatic mantle (10-20 m deep) has a higher content on P2O2 (12.6% average) but lower on U (16 ppm). The sulphuric leaching process of P2O5 from Phosphatic mantle was studied. The optimal results were used to leach the Uranium tractions. The kinetic study so as the equilibrium results are discussed.Item type: Item , Catalizador para la hidrodesmetalización de crudos pesados(1986) José Mayorga; W A John RamírezA low-cost clay catalyst for the hydrodemetallization (HDM) of a heavy oil from the Orinoco Oil Belt was prepared and characterized. The influence of some pretreatment parameters on the activity was also studied. It was shown that acidity affects more the HDM than the removal of free iron oxides.Item type: Item , Putting the Co-Dependent in Charge: A Compression Approach to an Alcoholic System(1986) Sydney WalterSometimes all direct efforts to encourage detachment in the co-dependent of an alcoholic system are unsuccessful, generating frustration in the therapist and hopelessness in the couple. This paper explores an alternative method of unhooking the co-dependent from the drinking behavior of the spouse.Item type: Item , Hidrodesulfuración de crudos pesados(1986) W A John Ramírez; José MayorgaThe hydrodesulfurization of heavy crudes by the influence of hydrogen and catalyst was studied. It was demostrated that the hydrodemetallization, hidrogen pressure, the process temperature, the rotational velocity and the crude-catalyst ratio are important over the process. The crude oil from Orinoco Oil belt show reductions of 76,9% in sulfur, 85% in viscosity and the final specific gravity is 13,1 °API.Item type: Item , Sources of growth(Elsevier BV, 1986) Lauchlin CurrieItem type: Item , The Effect of Trace Quantities of Surfactant on Nitrogen/Water Relative Permeabilities(1986) J. M. Sánchez; R. S. Schlechter; Armando MonsalveABSTRACT This paper proposes a single capillary model incorporating the mechanisms of foam generation, propagation, and rupture. It includes new features not heretofore noted and results in predictions for the influence of variables such as the gas rate, pore geometry, liquid rate, and surfactant concentration on the relative permeability to gas. Since the model is a simple one, only qualitative trends are predicted. Nevertheless apparently contradictory results can be understood in terms of the qualitative trends and new phenomena associated with the behavior of foams generated in situ are predicted. The model is a steady-state one. The generation rate of lamellae which are subsequently displaced and move along the capillary tube is a constant. To conduct experiments which are intended to confirm the model predictions one must ensure that these experiments yield truly steady-state results. This is not simple and a protocol for achieving steady state is tested. It is recommended as one approach for performing meaningful steady-state experiments. Systematic steady-state experiments are reported to demonstrate two important model predictions. The first shows the remarkable effect of even very small surfactant concentrations on the relative permeability to gas and the second set of experiments is designed to verify the model prediction that the relative permeability to gas at a fixed liquid saturation may increase or decrease with increasing liquid rates. Both trends have been reported in the literature.1,2 The correspondence between the predicted trends and those observed confirms the value of the single capillary model in understanding the complexities of mobility control using foams which are generated in situ.Item type: Item , Importancia de la bioética(1986) J RoldanItem type: Item , Práctica médica y bioética(1986) A Lisci GarmillaItem type: Item , Tratamiento actual de la cetoacidosis diabética(1986) S Toussaint; Miguel Gonzalez AhumadaItem type: Item , A palynological study of the Liabeae (Asteraceae) /(Smithsonian Institution Press, 1986) Harold Ernest Robinson; Clodomiro. Marticorena; Smithsonian Institution.Surface features and internal structure of the spines in the pollen of the Liabeae are illustrated by scanning electron microscopy and drawings made from oil immersion light microscopy.Obser- vations are presented for all 16 genera of the tribe, Paranephelius and Pseudonoseris of the Paranephelinae, Astroliabum, Bishopanthus, Cacosmia, Chionopappus, Ferreyranthus, Liabellum, Liabum, Microliabum, Oligactis, and Sinclairia of the Liabinae, and Chrysactinium, Erato, Munnozia and Philoglossa of the Munnoziinae. No examples of echinolophate pollen are found in the tribe, but irregular groupings of spines are found to be characteristic of all but Munnozia and Chrysactinium in the Munnoziinae and Paranephelius and Pseudonoseris in the Paranepheliinae. The distribution of caveate forms in the Liabeae is clarified. The presence of a large cavus-like space interrupted by thin basal columuellae is confirmed in the genus Paranephelius, correcting early observations showing the genus as an exception to the basic uniformity of exine structure in the tribe. However, subcaveate forms have been discovered in the tribe in the genus Munnozia.SEM study of broken tecta in the genus Munnozia show previously unsuspected great potential for variation between closely related species and species groups. The structure of the exine supports views derived from floral structures regarding relationships with other tribes. No support is seen for a phyletic position near the Senecioneae, and closest similarity is seen to the Vernonieae.A basic difference is discovered in the arrangement of the basal columellae between the Liabeae and the Vernonieae, being clustered or forming a hollow cylinder under each spine in the former but forming a single solid basal columella under each spine in the most nearly comparable members of the latter.Genera of the Vernonieae shown for comparison include the non-lophate Blanchetia, Pseudostifftia, and Vernonia, and the lophate Bishopalea, Heterocypsela, and Phyllocephalum.Item type: Item , Álvaro Alonso Barba (1596-1662).
