Abstract
El presente estudio es importante porque permite tener una visión específica de la realidad existente sobre la inteligencia y los aspectos de personalidad de un grupo de personas transexuales adultos de Perú, cubriendo un vacío científico con relación a la producción científica sobre este tema. El objetivo del estudio fue describir los niveles de Cociente Intelectual Potencial (CIP) y aspectos afectivos de personalidad en dieciséis personas transexuales. Entre los hallazgos se encontró en el 62.50% del total, CIP normal superior y en el 31.25%, normal promedio. Respecto al análisis de personalidad, se evidenció la presencia de conductas afectivas tanto adaptativas como desadaptativas (respuestas como "esqueleto", "lobo", "mono", "iguana" que reflejan vivencias afectivas displacenteras y muy peculiares en el test de Rorschach y su diseño en el test de la persona bajo la lluvia). Se concluye, que predomina el CIP normal superior y las manifestaciones afectivas desadaptativas. Caracterizado por excesiva ansiedad e inseguridad frente a situaciones frustrantes, timidez y falta de confianza en sí mismo, asociado a conducta violenta frente a fracasos y conflictos internos no resueltos, así como, dificultades en su interacción social como persona transexual.
This study is important because it provides a specific view of the reality regarding the intelligence and personality aspects of a group of adult transgender people in Peru, filling a scientific gap in relation to scientific production on this topic. The objective of the study was to describe the levels of Potential Intelligence Quotient (PIQ) and affective personality aspects in sixteen transgender individuals. Among the findings, 62.50% of the total had a higher than normal PIQ and 31.25% had an average normal PIQ. Regarding personality analysis, the presence of both adaptive and maladaptive affective behaviors was evident (responses such as "skeleton," "wolf," "monkey," and "iguana" reflecting unpleasant and very peculiar affective experiences in the Rorschach test and its design in the person in the rain test). It is concluded that upper normal CIP and maladaptive affective manifestations predominate. Characterized by excessive anxiety and insecurity in the face of frustrating situations, shyness and lack of self-confidence, associated with violent behavior in the face of failure and unresolved internal conflicts, as well as difficulties in social interaction as a person.
