REPRESENTACIONES SOCIALES DE LAS MUJERES JÓVENES SOBRE EL ACOSO SEXUAL CALLEJERO EN LA CIUDAD DE PUNO

Abstract

El acoso sexual callejero es un tipo de violencia física, psicológica y sexual que comprende todas las prácticas habituadas o aceptadas como naturales por la población. Esta "naturalización" ha favorecido su "invisibilización" como problema desconociéndose su magnitud por la permisividad de estas prácticas dentro de la ciudadanía, y en particular entre las mujeres afectadas. La investigación se enmarca dentro del enfoque cualitativo, utilizando los estudios de casos para poder comprender sus experiencias, actitudes y opiniones sobre el acoso sexual callejero. La investigación concluye que las mujeres jóvenes de la ciudad de Puno consideran que el acoso sexual callejero es un problema invisibilizado por la sociedad y que las manifestaciones verbales, expresivas y físicas practicadas en espacios públicos por cualquier hombre no constituyen "galantería" y que se tratan de actos provocados por los hombres para demostrar su poder frente a las mujeres, sin importar los efectos negativos que produce en la autoestima de la mujeres víctimas de este problema social.

Street sexual harassment is a form of physical, psychological and sexual violence that includes all practices habituated or accepted as natural by the population. This "naturalization" has favored its "invisibility" as a problem unknown magnitude by the permissiveness of these practices within the public, and particularly among women affected. The research is part of the qualitative approach, using case studies to understand their experiences, attitudes and opinions about street sexual harassment. The research concludes that young women in Puno considered that sexual harassment street is a problem rendered invisible by society and that verbal, expressive and physical manifestations practiced in public places for any man not "gallantry" and treated acts caused by men to show their power over women, regardless of the negative effects it has on the self-esteem of women victims of this social problem.
