Abstract
El ejercicio del poder punitivo estatal frente al delito de robo agravado emerge como un tema de constante debate y análisis en el ámbito de la justicia penal. El objetivo del estudio es analizar el poder punitivo y su incidencia en el robo agravado en Tacna. El enfoque es cuantitativo, tipo explicativo, diseño no experimental. residentes de la provincia de Tacna. Se aplicó un muestreo estratificado seleccionando 384 personas de los distritos más poblados. Las técnicas e instrumentos, una encuesta con el diseño cuestionario con una escala de Likert de 5 puntos. Los resultados muestran que las dimensiones legal y política del poder punitivo tienen una incidencia significativa en el robo agravado en Tacna (p < 0.05), mientras que la dimensión social no muestra una correlación significativa. Se concluye que, el poder punitivo tiene una influencia significativa en la reducción de la incidencia del robo agravado en la provincia de Tacna, las dimensiones legal y política del poder punitivo son fundamentales para el control y prevención de este delito.
