IMPACTO DE LA PANDEMIA DEL COVID-19 SOBRE LOS SISTEMAS DE PRODUCCIÓN DE POLLOS PARRILLEROS EN EL DEPARTAMENTO DE CHUQUISACA

Abstract
La pandemia del COVID-19 ha tenido gran impacto sobre todas las áreas del quehacer humano a nivel mundial. En su afán por detener el avance del virus, muchos países impusieron medidas restrictivas que ocasionaron la decadencia de la actividad comercial, industrial y agroproductiva. En el caso de Bolivia, uno de los sectores más afectados es el avícola, particularmente la producción de pollos parrilleros, que en el departamento de Chuquisaca representaba una de las actividades de mayor asiduidad debido a su rentabilidad y facilidad de producción. En vista de lo anterior, el objetivo del presente artículo consistió en realizar un análisis descriptivo acerca del impacto de la pandemia del COVID-19 sobre los sistemas de producción de pollos parrilleros en el departamento de Chuquisaca; para concluir con algunas recomendaciones para retomar su productividad no obstante las condiciones actuales que atravesamos por causa de la pandemia, con base en la adopción de medidas de bioseguridad, así como también, la colaboración por parte de entes públicos y privados mediante el aporte de recursos económicos y tecnológicos, destinados a retomar esta relevante actividad productiva.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a great impact on all areas of human endeavor worldwide. In an effort to stop the virus spreading, many countries imposed certain restrictive measures which caused the decline in commercial, industrial and agro- productive activity. In the case of Bolivia, poultry is one of the most affected sectors, particularly the broiler chicken production, which represented a greater frequent activity due to its profitability and ease of production in the Department of Chuquisaca. Therefore, the objective of this article was to carry out a descriptive analysis about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on broiler chicken production systems in the Department of Chuquisaca. This analysis makes the study conclude with some recommendations in terms of resuming its productivity despite the current conditions that we are going through due to the pandemic, based on the adoption of biosafety measures, as well as, the collaboration of public and private entities through the contribution of economic and technological resources allocated to taking up this significant productive activity.
