Abstract
Teen dating violence is a problem that significantly affects the emotional and social well-being of young people. This study aims to analyze the validity and reliability of the Dating Violence Questionnaire (CUVINO), developed by Rodriguez et al. (2010), in the Peruvian context, specifically in young people in dating relationships. The CUVINO, composed of 42 items grouped into eight dimensions (detachment, humiliation, sexual violence, coercion, physical violence, gender roles, emotional and instrumental punishment), uses a five-point Likert scale. The research, of an instrumental type, was carried out in a Peruvian university with a purposive sample of 322 graphic arts students. Confirmatory factor analyses yielded acceptable fit indices (RMSEA: 0.0804 to 0.0811), supporting the validity and reliability of the instrument. These findings underscore its usefulness for strengthening preventive and educational strategies against violence in youth relationships in diverse academic and social contexts.
