Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar los efectos de un programa de entrenamiento del potencial humano en el desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional de estudiantes de Ingeniería Química en la Universidad Nacional del Callao, Perú. El estudio es cuantitativo, con diseño cuasi-experimental de medición de dos grupos, experimental y control, con pre-test y post-test, en el que se expuso solo el primer grupo al programa. La muestra estuvo conformada por 37 alumnos en cada grupo. Se aplicó el cuestionario EQ-I de Bar-On y una lista de cotejos. Los resultados mostraron que, tras 14 sesiones, el 67,57 % del grupo experimental alcanzó un nivel alto de inteligencia emocional en el post-test, mientras que el grupo control mantuvo niveles bajos. Las pruebas estadísticas confirmaron la efectividad del programa. Estos hallazgos sugieren que las intervenciones dirigidas al desarrollo de la inteligencia emocional son fundamentales para mejorar el bienestar de los estudiantes universitarios.
The present research aimed to determine the effects of a human potential training program on the development of emotional intelligence in Chemical Engineering students at the National University of Callao, Peru.
