ACTUALIZACIÓN DE CASOS DE ACCIDENTES OFÍDICOS EN EL HOSPITAL MATERNO INFANTIL CHIPIRIRI, VILLA TUNARI, COCHABAMBA

Abstract
Introducción: El Accidente ofídico es el síndrome causado por inoculación accidental de sustancias tóxicas de la serpiente a través de la mordedura, lesionando tejidos y provocando cambios fisiopatológicos negativos; el Trópico Cochabambino es conocido por tener múltiples accidentes ofídicos, lo cual motivo la realización de este trabajo, debido a la falta de trabajos dentro la literatura nacional, aportando a la reflexión sobre la vigilancia epidemiológica y conocimiento de la población. Objetivo: Determinar la incidencia de accidentes ofídicos y su relación demográfica en el Hospital Materno Infantil Chipiriri, Villa Tunari durante el tercer trimestre de la gestión 2023 Materiales y Métodos: Estudio de tipo descriptivo, cuantitativo y transversal, realizado en el Hospital de Materno Infantil Chipiriri, Villa Tunari, Cochabamba en julio, agosto y septiembre del 2023. Resultados: Se tomo como muestra un total de 28 pacientes, de los cuales el 71% correspondía al sexo masculino, de estos un 80% (23) alega haber estado trabajando en sus chacos al momento del accidente, donde la mayoría de ellos se encuentra en edad productiva (promedio: 33 años), identificando que el mes de agosto fue el de mayores casos notificados con un total de 13 pacientes. Conclusión: Se evidenció una elevada incidencia de accidentes ofídicos, en el Hospital Materno Infantil Chipiriri, con mayor presentación en los meses de julio-agosto, con un descenso en el mes de septiembre por el inicio de la época de precipitaciones fluviales, que no permiten a la población trabajar en sus chacos; demostrando adicionalmente un predominio en el sexo masculino.

Objective: Determine the incidence of snakebite accident and their demographic relationship at the Chipiriri Maternal and Child Hospital, Villa Tunari during the third quarter of 2023. Materials and Methods: Descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional study, carried out at the Chipiriri Maternal and Child Hospital, Cochabamba in July, August and September 2023. Results: A total of 28 patients were taken as a sample, of which 71% were male, of these 80% (23) claim to have been working in their fields at the time of the accident, where the majority of them are located. of productive age (average: 33 years), identifying that the month of August was the month with the highest reported cases with a total of 13 patients.
