Abstract
El páncreas ectópico es una anomalía congénita rara; hacer un diagnóstico precoz y de certeza es complicado, tal es el motivo de esta presentación. Se describe el caso de un niño de 11 años de edad que presenta características de insuficiencia renal aguda en principio y posteriormente se determina abdomen agudo quirúrgico. En el acto operatorio se encuentra masa tumoral en el borde antimesentérico y el informe anatomopatológico indica tejido pancreático ectópico.
Ectopic pancreas is a rare congenital anomaly; its early and precise diagnosis is complicated, which makes the description of the present case interesting. This is an 11- year-old boy who presented signs of acute renal insufficiency and was eventually diagnosed as having an acute abdomen. During the surgical procedure we found a tumoral mass in the antimesenteric border which pathology later showed was pancreatic tissue.
