Abstract
Along with the development of technology and science, learning to read and write the Qur'an is increasingly lagging behind other lessons that are easily accessed through gadgets. Many people do not yet realize the importance of reading and writing the Qur'an. So they prioritize general education over religious education. Parents play an important role in children's early education, but teachers are no less important in education, especially teachers of the Qur'an and Hadith studies who hold full responsibility for the smoothness and continuity of learning the Qur'an and Hadith. However, at MIN 8 Nagan Raya there are still students who have difficulty reading and writing the Qur'an. Thus, the purpose of this study is to determine the difficulties of students in reading and writing the Qur'an and to determine the efforts of the Qur'an and Hadith teachers in overcoming these difficulties. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The main results include the importance of teaching students to read and write the Al-Qur'an so that they can read and write the Al-Qur'an according to the rules of tajwid and makharijul letters, as well as instilling a sense of love for the Al-Qur'an because the Al-Qur'an is a guide to life for Muslims.
