Abstract
La conciencia ambiental en la educación inicial es un aspecto clave en la formación de hábitos sostenibles. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo identificar el nivel de conciencia ambiental en una institución educativa de Tumbes. Se empleó un enfoque descriptivo con una muestra de 32 estudiantes de cinco años, a quienes se aplicó una ficha de observación. Los resultados indicaron que el 50 % de los participantes presentó un nivel medio de conciencia ambiental, mientras que el 40,62 % mostró un nivel bajo, evidenciando una tendencia negativa en la variable. Estos hallazgos resaltan la necesidad de fortalecer estrategias pedagógicas que fomenten actitudes responsables hacia el medioambiente desde la primera infancia.
