Aproximación a la noción de cuerpo desde la perspectiva del hombre natural de Jean Jacques Rousseau

Abstract

The purpose of this essay is to approach the notion of body in the natural man of Jean Jacques Rousseau. It is not a clear theme in his philosophy, however, we will examine this category while precise references are found in his work. In this sense, one of his first texts, the Discourse on the origin of inequality (1754), is a central reference in our inquiry since there he is about to delimit the meaning of natural man in his physical appearance and in his appearance metaphysical and moral. On the other hand, a work of maturity, Reveries of the solitary walker (1776), confirms the thesis about the care of the body and the soul that he meditates throughout his own existence.
