Abstract
The article concerns the phenomenon of literary transfert between France and Russia, genre and plot parallels in popular French novels Parisian Mysteries by E. Sue and Earl Monte Cristo by A. Dumas and the Russian novel Petersburg slums by V. Krestovski. The special attention is given their endings, their form and function.
