Abstract
Phonological development is a core element of communication in the integral education of children, especially in their first years of life. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to assess the impact of the implementation of tongue twister workshops on phonology in five-year-old infants belonging to the Micaela Bastidas Puyucahua-Abancay Initial Educational Institution N° 208. Methodologically, the study had a quantitative orientation of explanatory level and pre-experimental design with two measurements (pre- and post-test) whose sample selection was intentional with the participation of 36 students of the school. The technique applied was observation and the instrument was an observational form. The results were obtained by applying the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, concluding that 92% of the children overcame their linguistic-communication problems, demonstrating the effectiveness of the workshops to enhance phonological skills in five-year-old children.
