De coronaciones y otras memorias: Afrobolivianos y Estado Plurinacional
Abstract
This study delves into the ethno-historical background to the Afro-Bolivian king and his role in the Plurinational State of today. It suggests that the figure of the king is now encouraging a reconfiguration of identity among some Afro-Bolivians in their negotiation with the state, seeking a better integration of historical experience in the process of socio-political reorganization currently under way in the country.
