ENFERMEDAD DE PAGET VULVAR RECURRENTE CON RESPUESTA A QUIMIOTERAPIA CON CARBOPLATINO - PACLITAXEL. REPORTE DE UN CASO Y REVISIÓN DE LA LITERATURA

Abstract
La enfermedad de Paget vulvar es sumamente rara, representa menos del 1% de las neoplasias vulvares. Generalmente tiene un curso crónico y es altamente recurrente. La cirugía es el estándar de tratamiento; sin embargo, los decepcionantes resultados del tratamiento quirúrgico y la alta morbilidad, han llevado a buscar otras alternativas de tratamiento incluyendo radioterapia, vaporizaciones con láser de CO2 y quimioterapia entre otros. Todas ellas con resultados prometedores, aunque hay una necesidad de estudios prospectivos para explorar estos enfoques. Presentamos el caso de una paciente con enfermedad de Paget vulvar recurrente con muy buena respuesta a la quimioterapia sistémica con carboplatino mas paclitaxel.
Vulvar Paget's disease is extremely rare, accounting for less than 1% of the vulvar neoplasia. Usually it has a chronic course and is highly recurrent. Surgery is the standard treatment; however, the disappointing results of surgical treatment and high morbidity, have led to seek alternative treatment including radiotherapy, sprays CO2 laser and chemotherapy among others. All with promising results, though there is a need for prospective studies to explore these approaches. We report the case of a patient with vulvar Paget's disease recurrent with very good response to systemic chemotherapy with carboplatin plus paclitaxel.
