Desarrollo vocacional en la trayectoria universitaria: comparación entre el inicio y la culminación de la carrera

Abstract
La vocación es un proceso dinámico que se desarrolla y transforma a lo largo del ciclo vital. La adolescencia representa una etapa decisiva, ya que en ella se toman decisiones fundamentales para la trayectoria profesional. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar las diferencias en el nivel de desarrollo vocacional entre estudiantes universitarios que cursan el primer y el décimo ciclo. La investigación adoptó un enfoque cuantitativo, con un diseño no experimental, descriptivo y comparativo. La muestra estuvo conformada por 190 estudiantes, de los cuales 90 cursaban el primer ciclo y 100 el décimo. El instrumento utilizado fue el Cuestionario de Desarrollo Vocacional. Los resultados indicaron que los estudiantes de décimo ciclo presentan niveles significativamente más altos de desarrollo vocacional en comparación con los de primer ciclo. Se concluye que la trayectoria universitaria contribuye al fortalecimiento de las competencias y actitudes asociadas al desarrollo vocacional.

The objective of this study was to analyze the differences in the level of vocational development between university students in the first and tenth cycles. The sample consisted of 190 students, of whom 90 were in the first cycle and 100 in the tenth cycle. The instrument used was the Vocational Development Questionnaire. The results indicated that tenth cycle students present significantly higher levels of vocational development compared to first cycle students. It is concluded that the university trajectory contributes to the strengthening of competencies and attitudes associated with vocational development.
