Roger Chartier y las nociones de tiempo y representación. De una historia en minúsculas.
Abstract
The article gathers a few of the reflections that arise from the seminar of the socio-symbolic area “Identity, mentalities, imaginary and representations” shared with the students of the Social and cultural studies of the Andes Venezuela master’s degree. It constitutes a close up to the thoughts of Roger Chartier, starting from two of his works, in which the notions of representation and a fundamental variable of history and time is explored. We consider that the notion of representation arises as nostalgia for the notion of truth in its original contexts; Anglo-Saxon and European and, in consequence, because of the disciplinary epistemological turn of history and the influence that it receives in its modalities and re-significations about time and its representations on other contexts as ours in Latin America.
