Abstract
El artículo hace una introducción analítica a la vida y al pensamiento musical del compositor boliviano Alberto Villalpando. Hace referencias a sus inicios en Potosí, a su etapa formativa en Buenos Aires y a su regreso y establecimiento en La Paz. Describe analíticamente el enfoque experimental con el que describió el paisaje sonoro boliviano, así como distintos criterios compositivos y etapas de su trabajo creativo para distintos formatos instrumentales. Ubica a Villalpando como parte de una generación determinante para nuestra historia artística y plantea posibles respuestas a su trabajo.
The paper offers an analytical approach to the life and musical thought of the Bolivian composer Alberto Villalpando. Makes references to his beginnings in Potosi, his formative years in Buenos Aires and on his return and establishment in La Paz. Analytically describes his experimental approach that described the Bolivian soundscape and compositional criteria and different stages of their creative work for various instrumental formats. Villalpando located as part of a critical generation for our artistic history and offers possible answers to their work.
