Abstract
Resumen**** Este artículo explica el procedimiento llevado a cabo para construir una fuente tipográfica a base de manuscritos coloniales, este modo de diseñar la tipografía "Ablanda" se denomina revival tipográfico. Es la primera vez que este trabajo se realiza en Bolivia y, gracias a él, se obtuvo una tipografía original y única que, por su origen, evoca la importancia de la influencia de la evangelización en Charcas y el legado patrimonial de la zona, como resultado de esa labor catequética. Esta tipografía ha sido construida para uso exclusivo de la Universidad Católica Boliviana "San Pablo".
This article explains the procedure carried out to build a typeface based on colonial manuscripts. This way of designing the "Ablanda" typeface is called typographic revival. It is the first time that this work has been carried out in Bolivia and thanks to it, an original and unique typeface was obtained that, due to its origin, evokes the importance of the influence of evangelization in Charcas and the heritage legacy of the area, as a result of that catechetical work. This typeface is built for the exclusive use of the Bolivian Catholic University "San Pablo".
