Os desacertos da política neoliberal na mídia televisiva: um olhar para o Jornal Nacional

Abstract

El presente artículo discute la relación entre la realidad y la ficción en el periodismo televisivo brasileño, tomando como objeto de estudio el telediario nacional de la Red Globo de televisión. El objetivo del texto consiste en relatar los impactos de la política neoliberal en Brasil, a partir de las perspectivas del sociólogo Francisco de Oliveira. Reconociendo como contraparte, cuál es el abordaje mediático adoptado, por el noticiero, para dar cuenta de esas mismas discusiones. Para el efecto, se tomarán en cuenta los resultados de las investigaciones ya realizadas sobre el noticiero nacional durante la gestión política de Fernando Enrique Cardoso, eligiendo los noticiarios específicos del primer (1994-1998) y segundo mandato (1998-2002).This article discusses the relation between reality and fiction in Brazilians news broadcasting televisión, having the Red Globo Jornal Nacional as the object of study. The text´s objetive is to talk about the impact of neoliberal politics in Brazil, starting off with the sociologist Francisco de Oliveira´s perspective. Verifying, on the other hand, which boarding is adopted by the news around the same discussions. With this purpose, the article recurred to researches about the National Journal during Fernando Enrique Cardoso´s government, selecting specific news from his first (1994-1998) and second govermment (1998-2002).
