Comparación de la eficacia de dos sistemas de clareamiento dental para uso en casa

Abstract

Thisresearchwasmeanttocomparetheeffectofatraditionalhomebleachingsystem(Vitastyle10%Ivoclar-Vivadent)withado-it-yourselfdentalbleachingsystem(SimplyWhite®-Colgate)inaVenezuelan femalesamplingpopulation.Methods:Twelve,18-25yearsoldfemaledentistrystudentswereinvolved.The initialvitashadewasrecordedforeachupperfronttooth;bothbleachingagentswereusedineachupperhe mi-arch(randomlyassigned)for15daysfollowingthemanufacture’sinstructions.Threedaysafterthebleach ingperiodsended,theshadeofeachuppertoothwasrecorded.OnewayANOVAwasusedtodetectstatis tical differences. Results: There were no statistically significant differences (p=1) between the two dental bleachingsystems;however,ameanincreaseofthevalueinthreeshadesofthevitaguidewerefoundfor both bleaching methods. Conclusion: Under the conditions of this study, both dental bleaching systems
