Abstract
El artículo explora la influencia de las expresiones artísticas en el desarrollo integral de niños y adolescentes, destacando su papel en el crecimiento emocional, social y cognitivo. El objetivo principal es analizar cómo el arte, en sus diversas manifestaciones, fomenta habilidades emocionales y competencias sociales en esta población. La metodología se basa en una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva de estudios previos que abordan las conexiones entre las actividades artísticas y el desarrollo infantil. Los resultados muestran que la participación activa en actividades como la música, la danza y las artes visuales estimula la creatividad, la empatía y la resolución de conflictos, mientras que fortalece la autoestima y el sentido de pertenencia. Como conclusión, se enfatiza que las expresiones artísticas no solo son herramientas educativas, sino también terapéuticas, que deben ser integradas estratégicamente en programas educativos y comunitarios.
The article explores the influence of artistic expressions on the comprehensive development of children and adolescents, highlighting their role in emotional, social and cognitive growth. The main objective is to analyze how art, in its various manifestations, promotes emotional skills and social competencies in this population. The methodology is based on an exhaustive literature review of previous studies that address the connections between artistic activities and child development. The results show that active participation in activities such as music, dance and visual arts stimulates creativity, empathy and conflict resolution, while strengthening self-esteem and a sense of belonging. In conclusion, it is emphasized that artistic expressions are not only educational tools, but also therapeutic ones, which must be strategically integrated into educational and community programs.
