La visión global en Mommsen y Bloch . L os estudios históricos sobre la a ntigüedad y el m edioevo

Abstract

The objective of the article is to present the works of Theodor Mommsen and Marc Bloch, characterized by a global vision of reality, within the framework of the evolution of the studies of antiquity and the Middle Ages. To do this, first, a brief exposition of the progr ess of the studies carried out on these two great epochs of world history is made and, later, some factors that, by way of causes, have influenced such development experienced by those during the last times. And secondly, using the preceding exhibition as a historical framework, a brief approach is made to the academic lives of the two indicated intellectuals firstly, Theodor Mommsen and, later, Marc Bloch, pointing out the global character of his vision of the world present in their respective academi c works.
