Abstract

The majority (n=4871, 62%) of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) members are under the age of 45 years. The ISN established the Young Nephrologist Committee (YNC) in 2007 with the aim of better engaging the Society’s younger members, through development of education, research, and leadership opportunities tailored specifically for this age group. Younger members represent the next generation of nephrology and ISN leaders but how effectively the ISN, including the YNC, communicates and engages with this age group is unknown.
