Pasantías internacionales en lenguas modernas: una valiosa experiencia en la formación docente
Abstract
Nowadays, the practical training of the university students is part of the high-level curriculum model in which the insertion in real contexts is an important opportunity to relate theory and practice in order to reinforce the learning process of a foreign language through social interaction. Based on this assumption, international internships were approved as a new and optional graduation requirement to obtain the Modern Languages Education Degree in the University of Los Andes. This article aims to analyze the learning process of the foreign languages acquired during international internships from a socio-cultural constructivist approach. In conclusion, international internships are considered as a useful tool that promotes the development of the necessary skills, abilities and attitudes during the learning process of a foreign language.
