Abstract
The research is presented with a qualitative approach, using the in-depth interview with the adolescent, surrogate parent and those responsible for the shelter where the adolescent lived. It describes the development of the resilience of the adolescent who has lived between individual, family and context risk factors, until the early adolescence. The analysis of their "life history" in different evolutionary stages allowed to identify personal resilient characteristics; Social competence, sense of humor and introspection; At the level of the surrogate family (father and mother as significant adults) unconditional acceptance, clear boundaries, expression of affection, flexibility, life project and spiritual beliefs. In the community the situations of protection against situations of adversity were: institutions that assume and make decisions for the restitution of their rights.
