Abstract
Las dificultades con las que se ven enfrentadas las personas con algún tipo de discapacidad se han visto reducidas en los últimos tiempos con la ayuda de la tecnología y las herramientas que ésta puede proporcionar, así pues, la tecnología forma parte importante de la inclusión. En el ámbito de la tecnología móvil para personas sordas, toda información proporcionada por la app debe ser visual o sensorial. El problema radica en que las personas de ASCENSORAL (Asociación Central de Sordos El Alto), tienen un desarrollo limitado de sus capacidades lectoras y por consiguiente no conocen, ni pueden usar aplicaciones que les colaboren en sus tareas diarias. El presente proyecto intenta establecer si la aplicación Reader es una herramienta efectiva para el aprendizaje de la sintaxis del idioma español. La metodología empleada es cuantitativa de tipo experimental, aplicando el Test de Wilcoxon, tomando una muestra de 31 personas que forman parte de ASCENSORAL. El examen posterior a la implementación de la app demostró que las personas mejoraron su capacidad lectora y su comprensión, ya que el 90% de la población superó el examen de lectura con éxito, resultado satisfactorio tomando en cuenta la primera evaluación en la que solo el 9.7% de los evaluados pudieron demostrar que sabían leer.
The difficulties faced by people with some type of disability have been reduced in recent times with the help of technology and the tools that it can provide, thus, technology is an important part of inclusion. In the field of mobile technology for the deaf, all information provided by the app must be visual or sensory. The problem lies in the fact that the people of ASCENSORAL (Central Association of Deaf El Alto), have limited development of their reading skills and therefore do not know, nor can they use applications that help them in their daily tasks. The present project tries to establish if the Reader application is an effective tool for learning the syntax of the Spanish language. The methodology used is quantitative of experimental type, applying the Wilcoxon Test, taking a sample of 31 people who are part of ASCENSORAL. The post-implementation review of the app showed that people improved their reading ability and comprehension, since 90% of the population passed the reading test successfully, satisfactory result taking into account the first evaluation in which only the 9.7% of the evaluated ones could demonstrate that they knew how to read.
