Abstract
La presente investigación analiza la relación entre la investigación científica pedagógica desarrollada en el laboratorio de ciencias biológicas y el nivel de competencias profesionales básicas transversales en estudiantes de la especialidad de Biología y Química. Se empleó un diseño correlacional de corte transversal con doce estudiantes, quienes respondieron dos cuestionarios validados (α = 0,930 y α = 0,830). Se aplicaron estadísticos descriptivos, prueba de Shapiro-Wilk y correlación de Spearman. Los hallazgos evidencian predominio del nivel regular en competencias transversales (69,2%) y en investigación pedagógica (69,2%). Se obtuvo una correlación positiva moderada significativa (ρ = 0,494; p = 0,036) entre ambas variables. Se recomienda fortalecer la integración curricular entre actividades de laboratorio y desarrollo competencial.
This study analyzes the relationship between pedagogical scientific inquiry carried out in a biology laboratory and the level of core transversal professional competences among undergraduates majoring in Biology and Chemistry. A cross-sectional correlational design was employed with twelve students who responded to two validated questionnaires (α = 0.930 and α = 0.830). Descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and Spearman's correlation were applied. Results reveal predominance of regular level in transversal competences (69.2%) and pedagogical inquiry (69.2%). A moderate significant positive correlation (ρ = 0.494; p = 0.036) was obtained between both variables. Strengthening curricular integration between laboratory activities and competence development is recommended.
