Abstract
El discurso de odio está cada vez más presente en la interacción de las personas y es más estudiado en los entornos de la sociedad. Los videojuegos se convirtieron en un entorno que facilita la interacción entre las personas. Debido a este fenómeno, las personas crean sus comunidades virtuales en plataformas que son, en muchos casos ajenas al video juego, cómo es el caso de Discord. Estas plataformas se convierten en lugares donde el discurso de odio puede no ser penalizado y se llega a normalizar. Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de identificar el tipo discurso de odio en la interacción de las comunidades virtuales de video jugadores "BDN" y "FOR MAGUS" en la plataforma Discord durante septiembre de 2023. Para conseguir esto, se plantean tres objetivos específicos orientados a obtener la información sobre la interacción, las expresiones violentas y las categorías de discurso de odio de dichas comunidades. Para recoger la información se utiliza la metodología cualitativa, apoyándose en las técnicas de observación participativa, análisis de contenido y entrevista. Después de aplicar las técnicas y analizar los resultados se puede identificar el daño moral y la incitación a la violencia física como los tipos de discurso de odio presentes en ambas comunidades.
Hate speech is increasingly present in people's interaction and is more studied in society's environments. Video games have become an environment that helps interaction between people. Due to this phenomenon, people create their virtual communities on platforms that are, in many cases, outside the video game, as is the case of Discord. These platforms become places where hate speech may not be criminalized and becomes normalized. This research aims to identify the type of hate speech in the interaction of the virtual communities of video gamers "BDN" and "FOR MAGUS" on the Discord platform during the month of September 2023. For this purpose, three specific objectives aimed at obtaining information on the interaction, violent expressions and categories of hate speech of these communities are raised. Qualitative methodology is used to collect the information, relying on the techniques of participant observation, content analysis and interview. After the application of the techniques and the analysis of the results, it is possible to identify moral damage and incitement to physical violence as the types of hate speech present in both communities.
