Estado, nación y frontera: resignificación del espacio y concepción del límite territorial en Bolivia (siglos XVIII y XIX)
Abstract
El ensayo propone una reflexión integral e histórica acerca del surgimiento y desarrollo de las fronteras de Bolivia. Para ello, se estudia la frontera en un sentido político, pero también "experiencial", como parte de la ratificación popular de una "comunidad imaginada". Para arribar a este punto, el texto construye primero una interpretación general del sentido moderno de la frontera, estudiando su significado en relación con el despliegue del Estado moderno y las naciones a partir del siglo XVI.

For this, the border is studied in a political sense, but also from the "experiential", as part of the popular ratification of an "imagined community". To arrive at this point, the text first constructs a general interpretation of the modern sense of border, studying its meaning in relation to the deployment of the modern State and nations since the 16th century.
