Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo establecer la incidencia de la procrastinación académica en el estrés académico en estudiantes de la facultad de educación en Lima, Perú. Para ello, se empleó una versión modificada de la Escala de Procrastinación Académica (EPA) y el inventario SISCO de Barraza (2007), para medir ambas variables. Los resultados revelaron que el 16.5% de la variabilidad en el nivel de estrés académico puede atribuirse a los niveles de procrastinación académica, según lo detectado por el coeficiente de Nagelkerke. En conclusión, se encontró una relación significativa entre la procrastinación académica y el estrés académico en la población estudiada.
The present study aimed to determine the incidence of academic procrastination on academic stress in students from the Faculty of Education in Lima, Peru. To this end, a modified version of the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) and the Barraza (2007) SISCO inventory were used to measure both variables. The results revealed that 16.5% of the variability in the level of academic stress can be attributed to the levels of academic procrastination, as detected by the Nagelkerke coefficient. In conclusion, a significant relationship was found between academic procrastination and academic stress in the study population.
