REDISEÑO DE LA CARRERA DE CONTABILIDAD Y AUDITORÍA DE LA UNIVERSIDAD TÉCNICA DE COTOPAXI

Abstract

La Universidad Tecnica de Cotopaxi nace para cubrir las necesidades educativas de los jovenes estudiantes de la Provincia de Latacunga y del pais. En donde, el 21 de febrero de 1991 con un solo paralelo de 39 estudiantes se abre la carrera en contabilidad y auditoria. Actualmente se cuenta con 600 estudiantes en la modalidad presencial. La alta demanda de talento humano que contribuya a la solucion de problemas contables, financieros y de auditoria en la empresa ha provocado que la carrera en contabilidad y auditoria sea de interes y prioridad en las ofertas academicas por parte de las Instituciones de Educacion Superior. Actualmente, la Ingenieria en Contabilidad y Auditoria por las exigencias de los organismos de control de las IES (CES, CEAACES, SENESCYT) y acogiendonos a la UNESCO, CINE 2013 debe cambiar de denominacion a “Licenciatura en Contabilidad y Auditoria”. Una vez culminado la educacion en la Universidad Tecnica de Cotopaxi, los profesionales en la carrera de contabilidad y auditoria dominan los metodos y enfoques internacionales de normalizacion financiera, contable, tributaria y auditoria, asegurando la integridad de la informacion, registrando y procesando las operaciones para la presentacion de los estados financieros confiables y veraces, a fin de facilitar la toma de decisiones a los ejecutivos de una empresa, por lo que estan preparados para actuar en un mundo globalizado. REDESIGNING THE ACCOUNTING AND AUDITING ROLE OF THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF COTOPAXI ABSTRACT The Technical University of Cotopaxi was born to cover the educational needs of the young students of the Province of Latacunga and the country. The high demand of human talent that contributes to the solution of accounting, financial and audit problems in the company has caused that the career in accounting and audit is of interest and priority in the academic offerings by the Institutions of Higher Education. At present, the Engineering in Accounting and Auditing, due to the demands of the control organizations of the IES (CES, CEAACES, SENESCYT) and receiving UNESCO, CINE 2013 must change its name to Bachelor in Accounting and Auditing. After completing education at the Technical University of Cotopaxi, accounting and auditing professionals dominate international accounting, tax and audit methods and approaches, ensuring information integrity, recording and processing operations for the presentation of reliable and truthful financial statements, in order to facilitate decision making for the executives of a company, so they are prepared to act in a globalized world.
