Abstract
TiO2 y óxidos binarios en el sistema SiO2/TiO2 fueron preparados por la ruta de los atranos, donde la trietanolamina es utilizada como acomplejante, la cual favorece la retardación de la hidrólisis permitiendo una distribución homogénea de los heterometales en la matriz del óxido mixto, la actividad fotocatalítica de los materiales fue probada por oxidación de fenol. Factores como temperatura de calcinación en la síntesis del TiO2 y la proporción de SiO2 frente al TiO2 fue evaluada en la actividad fotocatalítica. El TiO2 obtenido a 600°C presenta mejor actividad que el P25 Degussa. La adición del SiO2 mejora la actividad a través de las propiedades de adsorción de este
