Abstract
El presente texto proporciona información distintiva sobre las metodologías cuantitativa y cualitativa, mismas que se constituyen en las ciencias sociales en general y en la comunicación en particular- en los modos más usados para abordar distintos problemas y/o fenómenos sociales. La idea central gira entorno a que no hay una mejor metodología para hacerinvestigación, sino sólo un modo más adecuadosegún las necesidades o circunstancias.
The presenttext provides distinctive information regarding the quantitative and qualitative methodologies, which are the most used forms -in social sciences in general and particularly in communications- to tackle different issues and/or social events. The main idea revolves around the fact that there is no better methodology in order to do research, but just a more accurate form according to necessities or circumstances.
