Abstract

The bellista Republic finds its foundations in elementary principles such as sovereignty, independence and equality and is structured according to the legal system, whose observance and application guaranteed the freedoms of citizens and their participation in the international community. This model that was a novelty for the society of nations of the nineteenth century, had to be built gradually, being the maximum exponent of the Republic of Chile, where the author lived. From dissertations of Andres Bello, we can extract his Concepcion about Republican State and the studies that the author made about its subjectivity. From method of complexity of Edgar Morin, the extensive work of the author is analyzed, in order to expose in this work the theoretical construction of the Republics present in the diplomatic writings, the legal opuscules and the different editions of his work Principles of International Law.
