Abstract

The present research analyzes the coexistence in a group of 16 high school students through the perception of themselves and their families. A set of Group Dynamics was planned, which allowed collecting drawings of the human figure and drawings of the family made by the students. A scale of estimation was elaborated from the indicators of the projective tests of the Karen Machover’s Drawing of the Family, and also the Louis Corman’s Drawing of the Human Figure, and proceeded to the triangulation with the observation of the interactions in the group dynamics. The results allow us to infer egocentrism and aggressive impulses in the sample, as well as insecurity and hostility. They also project little affective attachment, devaluation and anguish within their families. These interpretations are contrasted with the observation where prevailed the jokes, lack of expressions of solidarity and empathy, as well as difficulties in expressing and valuing family experiences. Accord- ing to these results, the importance of promoting family relationships in the school and incorporating the orientation of patterns of coexistence among adolescents, are considered.
